A beautiful Tennessee
morning finds us on the last leg to our final destination - with a few detours |
At this point, the
convoy is broken up into groups taking different routes to South Carolina.Along
the way, we enjoy the gorgeous Tennessee country side

The group I was in
detoured into the mountains to visit a little town called Lynchburg in Tennessee
and a company based there who makes a tasty adult beverage. |
The main part of
the lobby was filled with many Jack Daniel's memorabilia and photos

The group watched a
short video about the distillery before taking the tour |
Our tour guide -
a good ol' Tennessee boy - was both knowledgeable (he has worked at the
distillery since he was 19) and funny.

The tour took us through
all the facilities and processes of the distillery |
At the end of the
tour we were all taken to meet the CEO of Jack Daniel's who presented
Robert Leidy with a membership in the Tennessee Squire - an association
of special friends of Jack Daniel's and Lynchburg who are given a square
foot of land in Lynchburg

The beautiful area
at the distillery provided a perfect photo opportunity |
Back on the road,
a few of us decided to take off and play in the Blue Ridge Mountains
With Calvin in the
lead, we ran the Blue Ridge Mountains - some of the best twisties I have
ever driven (but the ///M
couldn't get away from Dieter Z) |
We finally made
it to the hotel after a long day of driving
And it was quite evident
we were in the right place |
After a bit of winding down and socializing, we were ready
for a good nights rest before a busy day at Zentrum
